Celebrate World Vegan Day

Back in 1944 November 1st was established as World Vegan Day.  Anyone want to go get a burger?  I guess it gives the social justice, politically correct, crybully crowd another reason to wag their fingers at us.

And here’s a little bonus…

Thanksgiving Preview – Thank a Veteran

Now that cold days outnumber the warm and the leaves have turned and gone, we stuff our shopping carts for this Thursday’s feast.  This is the season of Thanksgiving we really do need to give thanks.  There are men and women here and abroad that serve and have served to grant us the peace at home to be with our loved ones.

Take a moment this week to express that gratitude to a veteran in your life.  They could be the retiree down the block or the homeless person at a busy intersection.  You will find them where you work, or play, or worship.  Veterans are everywhere; America’s stong, silent defenders.  They take an oath that never expires.  We should honor their sacrifices as they honor their word.

Scumbag Of The Year Award Goes to…

Some people really need a kick in the %$*@ .

This fine example of the Occupy Generation thought that on a company trip to Washington, DC and Arlington National Cemetary she should take some “edgy” photographs.  Here is Lindsey Stone of Connecticut commemorating her visit to one of America’s most hallowed landmarks.

Now, if you have read my blog for any period of time, you know that I am a rather ardent supporter of the 1st Amendment.  I even support the right of some twit to go out and burn an America flag if they want.  I DO look forward to them ending up like the terrorist dirtbag below, but that’s just the veteran in me.

But, let’s get back to Lindsey.  She was apparently shocked by the response the photo garnered when she posted it on Facebook

So somehow her inexcusably poor judgement is actually a reflection of the population in general.

This is so indicative of the attitude of the Occupy Generation.  There are no bad acts; only external influences that force us to behave in ways that are objectionable in the outdated and oppressive culture we live in.  These apologists blame America’s predatory practice of liberating millions from the communist regimes that killed 100 million people in the past century.  This is that same attitude that has hipsters and college kids roaming around with Che Guevara’s murderous grin plastered on their clothing.

At least we will get to see Lindsey Stone (and her shutter bug accomplice) experience some consequences for their abominable behavior.  They are both currently suspended from their jobs pending investigation.  Also, the massive pushback from people on Facebook has probably been a little educational as well.  Read about the whole sordid episode here.

Occupy Halloween

Liberalism and the holiday spirit.  NOW I’m scared.

Some great Halloween cartoons about the Occupy Wall Street protests.

The Revolution Will Be Televised

President Obama began his tenure in office with a worldwide apology tour.  Starting in Cairo, he abased himself before leaders around the world asking forgiveness for the arrogance of our past foreign policies.  Today in Cairo we see what his “smart diplomacy” and the “Arab Spring” hath wrought.

Here is video of the radicals after they have stormed the U.S. embassy.  If you love your country, be warned that this is disturbing.

President Obama and his Occupy Wall Street minions should be proud of their work.  Did you see the islamic fanatic on the far right wearing the Guy Fawkes mask?

Occupy Anarchists To Attack Republican National Convention

We saw back in 2008 the lengths that the left would go to in trying to disrupt the Republican National Convention.  Violent agitators used every means possible to disrupt security in attempts to get at the delegates and the venue.  Millions in property damage was done while hundreds were detained or arrested.  Luckily, the police had managed to break up of the most violent cells before lives could be lost.  The video of the protests is shocking.

Well, as with most of their efforts in the 2012 election season, the left has decided to go dirtier and meaner.  Blogs and social networks are buzzing with groups organizing their efforts.  Videos are surfacing with instructions on effective tactics for disrupting security, how to infiltrate businesses and events, how to lure emergency personnel away from where they are needed, and even how to disrupt the 911 and emergency communications systems.  Last year’s Occupy movement seems to have recruited and trained a cadre willing to do anything for their “movement”.

Breitbart.com has all the details here.

UPDATE:  First protesters arrested before 2012 Tampa RNC Convention even opens -armed and preparing for violence.

Kickin With The Chicken

Took a well deserved break with my lovely wife this afternoon.  We decided to head over to our local Chick-fil-a to grab some lunch and see what kind of kerfuffle was in progress (if any).

Well, after taking over 5 minutes circling fo a parking spot, this was the scene inside.

There was no pushing or shouting.  The staff was efficient if a little frazzled.  And despite the crowd and the wait, lunch was good – as it usually is.

The best moment of the day though was when a group of about eight soldiers came in for their lunch.  The crowd let them to the front of the line and someone even grabbed them a table.  Once they made their order, they didn’t have to stand and wait.  The manager brought their food out personally.  You can’t argue with those priorities.

Now that I’ve shown you mine, you show me yours.

ps. I wonder what lunch with the Occupy crowd is like?
